In this class you will be knitting a gnome from Sarah Schira's pattern
Choose Your Gnome Adventure.

Learning will focus on knitting small circumferences with double point needles and the anatomy of Sarah's gnomes.

• November 6, 13 and 20
• 1:30 - 3:00 PM
• Cost: $45.00 for all 3 sessions

This class is for the Advanced Beginner who has knitted at least one project with double point needles (socks, mittens, hat). Some home knitting will be required.

Lost Art will have a kit to be used for the class that will included 3 colors of Rowan felted tweed, a fluffy white for the beard, bead filling for weight and stuffing. Each student will have a choice in the design of their gnome as the pattern contains a number of variations. A sample gnome can be seen at Lost Art.

Previous skills required...

• Ability to understand and follow a pattern independently
• i-Cord technique
• Knit and Purl with consistently sized stitches
• Confidently knit in the round
• Recognize and correct mistakes
• Increases: M1R, M1L, kfb
• Decreases: K2tog and SSK

Materials Needed

• Yarn kit from Lost Art
• Choose Your Gnome Adventure pattern available on Ravelry
• Needles: US 3 & US 4 double point needles or Flexiflips
• US 3 - 9" circular needle (optional)

(size depends on your knitting swatch outcome. Interchangable circulars are recommended)

• Stitch Markers, including BOR marker
• Scissors
• Yarn Needle
• Stitch fixer or crochet hook
• Needle stoppers

Important: The yarn kit and pattern must be purchased prior to the first class, and all tools brought with you.

• Cancellations: Must be made 7 days prior to the class start date to receive a refund.
